STORY OF THE CHOIR AND HIS FOUNDER | OBJECTIVES | THE CHOIR: MEN AND WOMEN’S VOICES | BRIEF HISTORY OF GREGORIAN CHANT

The Gregorian chant is primarily functional and contributes to express as well as to form the prayer. That is why the Choir practices it within its natural frame, the divine liturgy.

The association aims to protect and promote Gregorian chant as an essential part of cultural heritage:
-   public performances of the Gregorian repertoire in the greatest possible extent and with the best possible musical quality, in places of worship, with a choir composed and qualified to match this objective.

-   theorical and practical training of Gregorian chant for teaching and upgrading chorists.

In practice, what does it mean?

- Offices and Masses liturgical celebrations, fundaments of the Choir,
- Training by the School of Gregorian chant: école de chant grégorien
- Promotion of Gregorian chant through recordings, concerts and tours abroad. The Choir performed a lot of tours around the world. These tours are a kind of pilgrims to carry the musical and spiritual message of the Gregorian chant.
